You Know It's Hot When......

You know it's hot when:

1. Even the cactus are dead

2. The hot water heater is turned to vacation mode and you have scalding water

3. You cannot bribe Tommy to go outside to do his business

4. You take the clothes out of the washer and they are
already dry

5. You are dry when you step out of the shower.

6. Your low temperature is 90 degrees

All kidding aside, we are on a record heatwave this summer.

Please say a prayer for those that don't have a place to get out of the heat. The shelters are so crowded with those trying to get some relief. I'm very thankful that we have been blessed with what we have.

Hi Barb!
Wow! You really linked me! Thank you sooo much!! I will put you in the drawing twice and good luck!
I will certainly keep people in your area in my prayers. I can't imagine not having shelter, in any weather! We are so blessed Barb. I thank God every day for all the blessings he's given me.
Hugs, Sherry

I am so sorry you are so hot and poor Tommy, bless his heart. It's hot here in Georgia, but nothing like the desert. 90 is the low? WOW Please take care and I am praying for the poor people that have a hard time keep cool. I always say you can wrap up in the cold weather, but you can only get so naked. Take some nice cool showers!

Hi Barb!
Thanks for your sweet comments over at my blog ~ I missed you, too!! I got a chuckle out of this "you know it's hot" post. :) You definitely know what it's like. It's been so hot here that the frogs were sweating. LOL Ours is more a humid heat, though. Hope you have a wonderful July 4th weekend!! Lots of hugs, Bebe :)

I'm with Bebe... we here in the southeast know all about heat with humidity. So, our clothes would still be wet when they came out of the washer! These past few days, though, we've actually been having a cool snap. If we all get together maybe we can blow some of the cool air toward the west. Seriously, I will pray for you and I appreciate your thankfulness in the midst of it!

Hugs,
Christi

Ok now I really feel bad about complaining about our mid 90's. And poor Tommy. I'm going to tell Bailey to quit complaining too, I could send him to visit Tommy if he doesn't stop. Have a wonderful 4th and thank you for all your nice comments.

Barb,

My sister lives in New Mexico and she can relate to the hot weather. I went by train one year and when I stepped off the train, I thought I stepped into an oven.
It was 101 degrees that day, and even she wouldn't stand in the sun to wait for me.
Just have plenty of pee pad down for the doggie.

Ciao

My sister lives in Arizona and it's been so awfully hot -- but that is to be expected in the desert. I always tell her that her summer is our winter.

Hugs, Pat
