We could learn a lesson from these two

This is one of my favorite pics.
It was taken in Paris in front of Galeries Lafayette. For several years running, every time we passed by this store, these two were out in front of the store with their owner.
They were oblivious to the people walking by.

My youngest son thought it was great that a dog and cat got along so well. He wondered why people sometimes have so many problems getting along especially after seeing these two. I wonder that myself.

Food for thought.

Some Lovely Markets

The inspiration for
The French Elements

French is a state of mind

Many years ago I discovered that the French (actually any European I met) had a different way of looking at things.
Life is to be lived to the fullest. It's a gift and in order to enjoy this gift, we need to slow down and savor every moment.

This is something I strive to remember every day. It is easy to run yourself ragged but it is difficult to slow down and really take time to enjoy every moment that comes your way.

Take time to savor life.

Pint Size

Years ago when I saw my first Smart car, I was smitten. It was practical, economical and just plain cute! I had the opportunity to spend some time in one and while it wasn't as comfy as I hoped, parking was never an issue. I always talked about "bringing one home".

They have been available in the U.S for a while.
Every now and then I think about how much fun it would be to own one but reality always sets in.
With the majority of the cars on the road (at least in my area) being MUCH larger, I guess I'll have to settle with the traditional "mom- mobile".

Maybe some day......

Two more days until the March Madness give away. Don't forget to register.

The CEO of Motivation

I've decided to make it official. Tommy is the CEO of Motivation at The French Elements.

His credentials are quite impressive. Although still quite young (4 yrs or 28 in human years) he has been motivating us since he joined our family. He lets us know when we are "slacking". He gets quite excited when there is a discussion concerning a new fragrance oil(the foodie blends). I have to admit, he did give a lot of encouragement when I was making my Bath Bombs.

Best of all, he gives unconditional love. He certainly deserves his new title.

Kudo's to you Tommy!

Happy St. Paddy's day

I thank you God for this most amazing day; for the leaping greenly spirits of trees and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything which is natural which is infinite which is yes.

Two of my hero's

We all have hero's, people we admire. Two of my hero's are my boys (you too Hubby). They have grown into young men that I am very proud of.

My oldest son has become a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is quick to lend a hand when needed and does so with a great sense of humor.

My youngest son has been disabled throughout his life. He has good days and some not so good. What he does have daily though, is a Big Heart!
His sense of humor makes me laugh out loud on a regular basis.

I am blessed to have both of these men in my life and I am so proud to be your mother.

The little white box

This is my version of "the little blue box".
I love to open up packages (I think everyone does)! Inside the box is a lovely Fizzy Bath Bomb.
They will definitely go into the Easter baskets I give this year.

Good things do come in small packages.

A new addition?

We have success! It has been over 24 hours and no cracks. I put one in my bath last night (couldn't wait to use one) and it was definitely a fun experience. I felt like a kid. It fizzed and released the oils leaving my skin soft and silky. The color was like the Mediterranean on a summers day. I think I may have to add this to the product line.

Success with bath bombs

Today was my first attempt at making bath bombs. I have loved them since my first fizzy bath and have always wanted to make them.

My house smells fab! The fragrance oil I chose is Antibes. It is a blend of cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, mandarin, tangerine, grapefruit and lime. Very tropical. With the left overs, I made fizzy bath salts. I am thrilled with how they turned out. They need to sit for 24 hours but so far no cracks. Yea!
