My little French vacation

Summer is here and while I would love to escape the Arizona heat, priorities with family and work keep us here.

I'm not complaining because I can always have a little virtual break. This morning before I get back to work I thought a little visit to the Paris Plage was appropriate.

This wonderful tradition started in 2002 and has grown tremendously over the years.
This year features a traditional beach like setting, a chic metro area and a water sport and boating area. Scuba-diving, kayaking and sailing are just a few of the water sports available.
Best of all, they are taught for free. Yayy!!! I don't know about you but I would really have to think hard before I went scuba-diving in the Seine.

I am catching up on last week's work but will make my way around to visit.
While I work, my heart will be in Paris. After all, French is a state of mind.

We must be thinking alike. Last night I went to a website showing webcams of Paris - the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysees.
My daughter and her husband are there now - sweltering in the heat but having a great time.

We'll just have to content ourselves with a little French vacation here at home. As you say, French is a state of mind!

It truly is a state of mind, chickadee. I can dream I'm anywhere I want to be even if I won't get on a plane any more and go there.
Smoochies and happy "state of mind",

Oh how fun! It's always fun to drift away even if it's a vacation in our minds!

Thanks so much for your compliments on my bag! It was a lot of fun and now I can take it to stores and try to cut down on those plastics bags!

Have a great night!

We are having a Staycation this year too!! Maybe we could all go to Paris together? Thank you for your sweet comments regarding my awards. Another funny thing about "Nice" is that Nice attracts Nice. Aren't we lucky to be Nice magnets? I just recently saw La Vi En Rose (Hope that's right.) If you haven't seen the movie go out and get it right this minute. I LOVED it. I learned so much about her that I had no idea of before. It is also one of those movies that make you incredibly grateful for having people who love and care about you.I had no idea she was so young when she died. SHe looked so much older than we do at 47 these days.

Hugs,
Karen Eileen

Wouldn't it be great to just stroll around Paris for the next few weeks? Maybe someday. I love how everyone is saying, "A French state of mind."

Drop by my blog, you have been tagged, my friend.

Basically the only vacations I take are "virtual" ones. But that's the way I like it. Just a simple homebody. That's me. I'll leave the airports and busy highways to those who enjoy it enough to sacrifice their sanity!

Aren't make believe vacations wonderful when you can't take one for real? I'm right there with you but no lessons for me either.
Thanks for stopping by today. My kids tell me the same thing, either a show or restaurant.

Hi Barb and thanks for coming to see my little pillow! I've been to Paris a couple of times and just loved it, but I agree the river looks a little nasty! lol

Barb, what a sweet encourager you are. I always delight to see you have come by my blog and left a comment. I am chuffed (humbled and pleased at the same time) about your comments this morning. When I want to "virtually visit" France, I watch my video of Impressions de France from Disney World. The music and the images are too beautiful for words!

Love,
Christi
