I know it's coming

It is starting to sizzle here.

Tommy and I are not big fans of the summer heat.

I know, we live in the desert but every year the heat

is kind of shocking.

To get the idea of what "dry heat" is like,

turn your oven all the way up and then open the door

and inhale.

I am doing a little bit of cheating

and re-posting from last summer.

The post says it all.

Stay cool.

I hear ya, sweetpea, because we live in the desert also, but truly I'd rather have dry heat than the humidity they have in the south. Yikes...

I am not a fan of the heat. I like to be comfortable. We don't often get too hot here in the south west part of B.C. but we do have some areas that are true deserts.

Heat + Humidity = Houston

Three digit temperatures possible this weekend. I am so not ready!

I remember the summer we moved to Oklahoma City - I stepped off the plane onto the tarmac and 109 degrees. I felt as though all the air had been sucked out of my lungs. We were only there a year and it was long enough, despite the lovely welcome we had from the nice people of that city.

Oh look at Tommy....I am with you both; I DO NOT like the extreme heat. 75-80 is awesome but anything about that is down right stiffling. Do enjoy all you can dear Barb...wouldn't Provence be a great place to go, but they do get that horrid CANICULE out there....but there is always the Mediterrean to dip into!!!!

I've lived in both dessert and humid heat and I'd rather have the dry dessert!... my hair turns to wet mushy curls that drip in SoFla humidity. The Saudi Dessert, 120' was brutal...but then 'we humans always think the 'grass is greener'..lol "It is greener",, Central Illinois, that was good weather, if you could stand the darn snow for 6 months of the year!
Ok.. enough of the weather...
Stay cool!
