Castles and chandeliers

You know that castles have been in my mind (all the time)

and

in my hands (recently).

Well, now chandeliers are starting to take over too!

I thought I would show you a peek at what I'm up too.

i know this is not a chandelier but i like the photoBelow is a preview of some embroidered burlap soon-to-be

chandelier pillows.

Chandeliers in all shapes and forms appeal to me.

The castles are finished.

2 sets have gone out and I hope to have these listed in

my shop soon.

They are cute, huh?

This may be my last post before The French Elements

giveaway ends. The winner's name will be drawn

on June 10th.

Many thanks to all that have left comments and also decided to follow my blog.

I really do appreciate it!

If you have participated in one of my giveaways,

you probably know what the little "extra" is.

It is French, starts with a C and is one of my favorite things.

The beginning of this week will be a little bit busy
(routine Dr. stuff). Gotta love it-hehe.

But, I will be around for the 10th.

Au revoir till later.

Happy weekend

P.S. S, you left a lovely comment but I need your email address
in case you win.

Spring Fever?

Spring fever has arrived

but

not as I envisioned.

Right now, I wish I could be in 2 places at one time.

Here and California.

J.W. has had a difficult week with complications
from Type1 diabetes.

My little diva Annika has been in the ER twice with
a really high fever (106).
Why they didn't admit her is a mystery to me.
They really can't find a cause.
Now sweet Jayde is running the same high fever.
Poor Dorothy has her hands full.
I just pray that she and Hailey stay well.

The webcam has not been set up yet.
Too much running back and forth.
I swear, I could close my eyes and the car would
be able to get to my son's place on its own.

The other night when I was going through emails,
I had a nice surprise.
It could not have come at a better time (angel?).
I received an email from Jessica in Australia.
Someone had directed her to my website
and she did a post on it.

If you love antiques, fine furniture, and beautiful
interiors (you know you do), her website is a must visit.
Absolutely stunning pieces.
Thank you Jessica!

Creating things has been a source
of relaxation for me.
Years ago, I purchased old burlap bags.
At the time, I didn't know what I would do with them,
I just knew that they had my name on them.

I have made some embroidered burlap pillows
that I think turned out well.
Now I just have to finish them.

Well, this has been a long post for me.
I am off and running.
I need Scotty to beam me up-hehe.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Santa and cherries

I have been working on a few little projects (and you thought I was visiting a fab chateau)
that I thought you might like to see.
I had a request come in for "days of the week" flour sack towels.
She only wanted Saturday and Sunday.
She is planning on cutting them down a bit and framing them as kitchen art.
If I can get a picture, I'll post it.
Love the idea.

Well, I enjoyed working on Saturday and Sunday so I thought I would do a complete set.

By the time you read this, I hope to be done with Wed, Thursday, and Friday.
These towels have a vintage feel. They remind me of a favorite Aunt.
When I close my eyes, I can see her towels hanging on the clothesline.

Well, you know I love Santa.
I am working on making this jolly fellow into a pillow.
I think the photo looks distorted but Santa is tres chic.

I am loving this guy. This is the third pillow that I have done with
the Parisian Santa. I don't think I will ever get tired of it.
It makes me smile.

Well, that's all folks. I am hoping to add these to my site.
Is that a shameless plug or what?

Have a wonderful Tuesday.
