What a soldier daddy does while on R&R

First of all, he meets Newbaby 2010 ver4.0 (aka Andrea Jeanne).
That huge grin says it all. That is one happy daddy and daughter.

He needs to keep that Army training going by pushing a stroller.
His troop marches along- hehe.

He takes his troop on a strategic maneuver (to a cabin in WI.).

He takes Jayde and Hailey fishing and Hailey catches her first fish.

He bonds with his precious family.

AND......

he spends a whole lotta time with his beautiful wife Dorothy.
As I type this, Jeff is on his way back to his base.
He should be there in a couple of days. OH MY!

GOD SPEED. We love you and we are so proud of you.

JUST the title of this post made me smile from ear to ear:) I am so proud of Jeff AND I am proud of Dorothy for being the Mother that she is while he is AWAY!

I love that HUGE smile on Jeff's face holding his sweet daughter that he is meeting for the first time! I bet he was sure happy to get his hands on that sweet baby!

Love to you dear friend, HUGS!

Barb,

It looks like he enjoyed his R&R. I can only imagine how sad everyone must be feeling now that he is on his way back to his base.

From the look on his face he is one happy father and husband and lucky to have his family standing beside him.

HIs R&R must have been amazing--I know his little family was so glad to have him near, and you must be so proud of such a giving son.

Dearest Barb,

What a precious family time. May the memories last to carry him through the tough times away from home and family. It is such a tremendous sacrifice and I pray and hope that more young people will start to realize this!!!
Did you have a chance to read my Memorial Day post? Two in fact, one the day after.

Lots of love and thanks for making such sacrifices as a family!

What a wonderful way to spend precious time with family. I'm so happy that Jeff was able to meet his newest daughter - such a sweet memory.

I hope you are doing well, Barb - thinking of you with love.

Dearest Barb,

Great to learn that Jeff speaks Bahasa Indonesia! It is after all the BIGGEST Muslim country in the world and we've seen in 1997 what they did in Jakarta to the Christians (mostly Chinese!) by killing 1,400 and burning shopping malls; banks; car dealerships... For me that was the most real view of 'war' for me! They've killed over 500,000 in their genocide and it goes on and on. But the world is turning away from it and even fails to understand why our military needs to be overseas. I know in the thousands of islands in Indonesia they have active Al Queda training camps... Jeff will know a lot more about the facts. But I was always grateful to work their with my husband; not a safe place for a Christian woman by herself. They robbed us 3 x and the signs on the wall made one shiver... WISH people whould more realize how great the US is. At least if we don't let it slip more into moral decay...
Worth fighting for and I LOVE your sons for doing that and also their families who put up with so many sacrifices.

Lots of love and thanks for your visit + comment!
