Thank you for visiting The French Elements blog where French is a state of mind. If I can't be in France, at least my mind can spend some time there. Won't you join me?
My name is Barb and I am the woman behind the online boutique THE FRENCH ELEMENTS. While I will always keep The French Elements blog (so many memories), I have started a new one and I hope you will visit.
CHASING THE NEXT CHAPTER is about change. The past few months I have been thinking about writing a new blog. My youngest son passed away 7/1/2015 and life will never be the same for us. He entered Heaven and we entered a new chapter in our lives. A very different chapter that is still unfolding.
We have always talked about moving back to Europe (or elsewhere). The talk continues but we are planning on making the dream our reality.
He would be pleased.
Know who you are, accept who you are, be who you are.

Our sweet Tommy
Earlier this morning, our sweet Tommy
passed on.
He filled our lives with joy and laughter and love for 7 short years.
His sweet face made everyone smile.
While our hearts are very heavy,
we know he is charming the Angels.
We love you Tommy!
Oh Barb, I am so sorry for your loss! I know that your family is very sad! Tommy will be missed by all of you! I will be praying for your hearts to heal! Heaven has a new angel! Love you! BIG HUGS!
I'm so sorry to read that you've lost your sweet Tommy - what a gorgeous face. I know, from recent experience, just how it feels to lose the beloved canine member of the family. He had a good life with you.
Dogs are magical animals. We lost a beloved Doberman several years ago and now have an aging black Lab -- and I am dreading the day I know I'll also have to say good bye to him. They (these dogs of ours) get into our hearts and souls like nothing else.
I hope you'll pamper your heart and soul this weekend -- remembering your sweet guy and being gentle on yourselves as you miss him.
Hello sweetie! So sorry to come here after such a long absence and find you sad. Pets are such good reminders of unconditional love, aren't they. I appreciated your Vet. Day post, too. I know you feel that all the way from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. God bless Jeff and all the others. Hope I won't be so scarce around blogland as I have been these past months.
Thank you so much for your comforting words. It is so quiet around here. We do have wonderful memories and will always carry him in our hearts. J.W. is devastated (that word doesn't even come close to describing his feelings). I wish I could just wave the magic wand.
Oh Barb I am so sorry to here about Tommy's passing. We have come to love him so much. It's so difficult to lose a pet. They become such a huge part of our lives the short time they are with us. My heart goes out to you and your family.
I am so sorry about your Tommy. How old was he? My old Dalmation is 14 and he has such bad arthritis, his back leggs are starting to fail him. He is my life. yvonne
I am so, so sorry Barb. He was so precious. I know you miss him...I know you know about our Kip and the pain we are going through now. I know it gets easier and that we will see them again. I know that. Still we miss them so as they are such a part of us. Bless you and bless sweet Tommy. Love, Sue

My condolences; the pain of losing a loved one lessons over time though never, quite, goes away. Tommy looks like such a sweet old gent in his photo.
