Some new things, some NEWS, and summer weather

Happy Monday!

Busy as a bee around here. I know all of you can relate to that.

Between Dr. appt's (J.W.), trying to get some work done,
and summer life, it doesn't leave
a whole lot of time.

I'll start with a shameless plug-hehe.
The collage above shows some new items in the shop.

I have been waiting FOREVER for those Crowns
to arrive.
Big Yay!

Now for the NEWS.....

Jeff leaves Texas on Friday
and has a weekend layover in San Francisco.
Dorothy and the ladies will be picking him up
at the airport and bringing him
back home to Monterey.

The girls have no idea that daddy will be
flying in.

I'm so excited for them.
They need that short time together before
he leaves for Hawaii.
Rumor has it that he may be going to
AFGHANISTAN.
I cannot wrap my head around that rumor.
Not going there!

And now, summer weather in the desert.
Summer = monsoon.
Monsoon=Haboob.

Quite often in the summer, we have haboob's (a giant wall of dust).

This YouTube video shows
one that was very spectacular.
Very scary but very spectacular.
I think it stretched for 90 miles.

I am hoping that we are haboob free
this year.

Have a Blessed day.
Big hugs!

Greetings Barb,
That is such wonderful news! I am pleased you are having a good day-albeit a busy one. :-)
I also hope your weather is kind to you all, we have such heat here in TN but it is getting better with the recent thunderstorms.
Have a great day, cheers!

Hey Barb, I have news too. William will be joining the "Screaming Eagles" at Fort Campbell next month (you know where that is I think, hehe). Rumour has it he might also be going to the Big A......OMG OMG OMG.

IF, a big if I hope, this happens, we will definately have to support each other.

Love,

Anne xx

Hi Barb,

Haboob is a new term for me - and not one I'd like to experience from the looks of things.

What fun for the little ladies to see their daddy as a surprise.

I am so happy that your son has a little visit coming up. I hope your worst fear does not come true.

The dust storm looks really scary. I can't imagine how long it would take to clean up the house after that. I guess I won't joke about my house looking like a dust storm came through anymore!

No dust storms here, thank heavens!
My BIL was in Afghanistan last year and my brother is going on the next rotation.
I really hate it....

It looks like that silly rumor is pretty accurate. I know everything is subject to change but it just makes me sick.:(

Praying for you right now for peace in the midst of the storm... even in the midst of a haboob. Know this rumor can't be easy for you. Great that your sweet girls get to give their daddy a big hug send-off! Thanks so much for your encouragement.

Love,
Christi
