More required reading for the Francophile

As you know, I am a reader. Where ever I go, I have a book in my bag just in case
there is a chance to read a page or two.

These 3 are some of my favorites.

The Paris Apartment by Claudia Strasser is filled with wonderful ideas on how to create a romantic home on a flea market budget. I love the blog too.

We've Always Had Paris...And Provence (A scrapbook of our life in France) by Patricia and Walter Wells will take you on a wonderful journey. I collect her books and when I saw this, I knew it was going home with me. Their story is charming and the recipes.......you know they are sensational. They have also included many photo's.

French by Heart - An American Family's Adventures in La Belle France by Rebecca S. Ramsey
is really a charming story. It is also one of the funniest books I have ever read. In fact, one night after DH had fallen asleep, I woke him up with my laughter. It is that funny!
You will see what life is like when you are not French but living in a French Community. You definitely will be taken on a wonderful adventure.
Her blog is so much fun also.

Happy reading!

Oh, yes, I LOVE Becky's blog and I'm dying to get her book as soon as I can. Her blog is hilarious and so I can imagine her book is to die (laughing) for. She's a sweet, down to earth darling.

Wish I could really read and speak French. I did the Rosetta Stone French lessons last year as our library was offering it free of charge. But a few months into it, Rosetta Stone pulled the plug on their contract w/ our library. :( No more free French lessons...

Toodles,
Christi

This was my first visit to your blog and I love it! I am nana to an eight year old and I can see you love your grandbabies too. My husband is a step Papa, but the step part never enters in. He loves her like she were his own. I must read further about your products. Later, Trish

Hey Barb,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have been pursuing yours a bit tonight, and found this interesting post. I have a very good friend who is new to blogging, but just found out she is moving to Lyon, France. I will have to send her your way. Her name is Karen, from Make Mine Pink. I am going to have to check out these books myself. After all I am going to visit her!!!!

Bonjour Barb.

It's always a pleasure to find another francophile blogger. That's why I stopped by! I thought you might like to know about www.francophilia.com, the only social network for francophiles.

We launched a year ago, and in 2009 we're going to add a marketplace where you can get your fill of French stuff. We're a tiny startup operating on a shoestring budget, and depending on francophile bloggers like you to help get the word out.

Hope you and your readers will stop by and join us! And please help spread the word!

Merci et à bientôt.
