It huffed and puffed

and blew the neighbor's tree down on our house.

The 2 Christmas market posts were set to run via blogger options.
Don't you love that feature? I do.
While those were up, this is what was up on our roof.
I prefer Santa.

That storm that now has pretty much run havoc on the rest of the country,
hit us on Monday evening.
It rained on and off all day but the real storm hit that night.
It was a time of prayer, I can tell ya.
This is what we saw in our yard on Tuesday morning.

Big ouch!

Many people are still without power.
I am so thankful we are O.k.
Years ago, a microburst came through during the monsoon
and my house was the lucky recipient of major damage.
It took months for all the work to be completed.

I guess we could decorate the tree for Pierre.

We are waiting for removal.
The insurance company said to leave it alone and that is what we are doing.
Tommy is a little confused though.

I pray that everyone across the country has come through with no
major problems.
We are praying for you.

Oh, I feel bad for you. Is there any damage inside?? You haven't been very lucky. One of our trees came down once, but it landed on the neighbors roof...

It is only 2 degrees here and the snow has stopped. I am saying prayers for people on the road because there may be some icy spots.

Stay warm and good luck with the tree.

So sorry the tree came down on your house. Not nice at all. Hope the damage was not too much.

Reminds me of the one and only hurricane we ever had here when we got up in the middle of the night to see trees coming down in garden and street.

Oh, I hope everything isn't too damaged. These storms can be scary moments. At least it didn't blow your house in. Sea Witch

Oh Barb...this is a all too familiar sight where we live; the neighbor's tree fell on our dining room one year! No real damage, just a big scare. The storm that hit you guys came and left us about a foot of snow, but temps at the moment are in the teens. IL FAIT FROID!!! Take care dear one..Anita

We have many large trees around our area but luckily we have been spared any damage.
Glad you were all safe and sound.

seattle was hit really hard a few years back and 2 houses from me had a huge tree fall and crash into their home at 1:00 in the morning. crashed thru the roof and broke out windows... a nightmare that turned into a miracle. they completed a full remodel last year and have a lovely new living room! another friend did the same... have a wonderful holiday... x pam
