So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye

The past several days, I have been over at Jeff and Dorothy's with the packers and the moving crew.
As I turned the corner onto their street yesterday, this is what I saw.
A huge moving van.
Oh my, big sigh!

I don't know how everything is going to fit into their new home on base.
They left a 2 story, 4 bedroom, 3 bath, with a garage and a gigantic back yard.
They are now in a 3 bedroom, 1200 square foot house (no garage).
This could be very interesting.
I know once the van arrives, (sometime between Aug. 24th -27th)
Dorothy will have her work cut out for her.

It was so strange to be over there. The house was very quiet but boy could you feel the good vibe.

This is Pokey. She belongs to the driver and his wife and travels with them.
This is one spoiled dog. Doesn't it look like she is smiling?
What a sweetheart!

If you haven't entered The French Elements giveaway, there is still time.
For those of you that have entered and put a link on your blog, many, many thanks.
A winner will be drawn on Sunday August 23rd.
I'd love for you to take a moment and enter.

I am hoping to do another one before the Holidays begin.
That's the perfect way to start the season.

Happy Thursday.

I remember our moves from the military and it all went well, honey! They do just about everything for you when moving but they may need to scale down just a wee bit there! Exciting for them though......

Connie
Hope you are doing well, sugar.

Dear, dear Barb! Thanks for coming to the play! I love being silly and pretending; I 've never grown up in that case and yeah, my students learn to be more creative in their fourth grade experience in my class! How are you? I am so glad to see that your family is doing well. I can't wait to see who wins the give away! Best wishes dear friend, Anita

Good blog friend Barb: Ahh, another adventure they embark upon. Having made 17 major moves in a 30 year DOD/military career, I see their moving van and get gypsy feet again. Each move was an adventure with new beginnings, new friends, new everything. I loved every move we made. My thoughts and prayers for a successful move and travel to their next destination are with you and your family. Sea Witch

The pictures on your sidebar are making me giddy. I finally got to visit France in May; 6 hours in Villefranche Sur Mer on a Med Cruise. It was fabulous and I am dying to go back and get to Nice and the Brocante, as well as many other places.

Love your pillows...maybe Christmas!!

Hi Barb!

It will certainly be interesting won't it?? They will have to pick favorites and store the rest... that's about what we have done to pare down the things in our home to get it sale ready. People still comment that there's too much to look at when going through our house... go figure!

I wish them all the blessings God has to offer them in their new life on base!

Hugs, Sherry
