French- with an American twist

Ooh la la.

I love sweets and I love anything French so these French sweets are right at the top of my all time favorites.

Madeleines are delicious but these are a close second.
Very easy and the kids or grandchildren will love helping you.
I've had my molds forever it seems, and have put them to good use over the years.

My local market was having a sale on Betty Crocker cake mixes so I stocked up.
How easy is that?

This version was spice cake with fluffy white frosting.

Carrot cake with a cream cheese frosting is amazing.
My favorite is chocolate fudge with double chocolate frosting.
Yum!
A dusting of powered sugar is nice but nothing beats a generous dab of frosting.

Trying to put some weight on....

I can tell you these did not last long.

I may have to do a little baking later on-hehe.

Happy Wednesday to all!

Barb, these look so good. I sure wish I could donate just as many pounds as you'd like. I have plenty and I would give it to you for free. Sweets are my downfall. I was skinny all the time growing up. I just didn't care that much about food. Then in my late teen years I started trying different foods and I have had a weight problem ever since. Up and down. Look up yo-yo dieter in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of moi. I need to try these little cakes with Avery.

I was at Thrift Town few days ago and saw a Madeleines mold made of that rubbery silicon stuff and almost grabbed it @99¢. What I'd do with it I don't know but whip up a batch of them petite little cakes then sit down and cram them all down my pie hole so I passed on it. I like the idea of bite sized carrot cake Madeleines, especially the icing part makes me weak in the knees...I love cream cheese frosting...Okay now I'm hungry for carrot cake (I like mine frozen)....see what you made me do...LOL
