Carnaval in Nice and a lesson learned

A couple of years ago, we were lucky enough to be in Nice during Carnaval.

We had a terrific view for parade watching. Carnaval typically runs from February 13th- March 1st. It is fun, loud, and crazy!

Before the crowds.

Now for the lesson learned. Yesterday we were at the hospital with my son and the subject of Nice came up.

I asked what his favorite memory was of Nice. He said it was talking with a homeless man (Michael) on the beach. He sees people as people. He doesn't see religion, race, politics or limitations. I have found that is the case with many people that have special needs.

I hope to be able to see life through eyes like that.

Have a blessed week ahead.

Wow, that is really striking. We need more of his perspective in the world!

Dearest Barb,

I hope that your son recovers soon. Bless his heart; he sees with the eyes of love. I want to see! I hope you are well. I was in Nice about 6 years ago; I took classes there and had the time of my life. My husband joined me after my studies and we had such a happy time there. God bless the French! (I enjoy my little crown, all lit up at night!) Blessings, Anita

Hi Barb!!! What a wonderful trip! Looks like fun to me! My daughter and her boyfriend went to a Christian conference in St. Louis 2 years back and one thing they always talk about is the homeless man they spoke to every evening. Isn't that wonderful? I'm glad your son sees things the way he does!

Have a wonderful night! I'm sooo glad you stopped by today and thank you for your prayers! I have MISSED you!

Hugs!

Hello my sweet friend. My prayers certainly go out to your son and all of you.May God bless you all.
The carnival pictures are amazing. As you know Mardi Gras season has begun here too.My daughter and I are going to co write a post this week.Their floats looks like ours.I bet you had a blast.I would love to go to Nice.
Its so nice to see the world in the eyes of children, they are so untouched by whats going on in this upside down world.I wish I could go back to the early 50's.You know like those time travel romance novels.LOL...I read way to much.Hugs Marie Antionette
