This is my hot button and it makes me furious when louts show how stupid they are when they are ungrateful. I just said good-bye to a "friendship" of more than a decade because a "friend" said, re. our military, "well, they deserve whatever they get. No one asked them to serve, they are volunteers." I blew up, hit the sky and kept going; I told her my nephew was in Afghanistan, a cousin in Iraq and another serving in FL. Her response? "Well, that's their decision."
Okay fine. And it's my decision to say goodbye to this, so-called, friendship; I did so...gladly!
Please tell your men, THANK YOU FOR SERVING!Thistle Cove Farmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15722295191884810953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8813439598973644474.post-72219841443377189732010-05-02T15:15:52.635-07:002010-05-02T15:15:52.635-07:00I am so sorry for the rude comments; it only shows...I am so sorry for the rude comments; it only shows the -poor- quality of the people making them.
Every time I see a military man or woman, I say "thank you for serving". I chase them down in airports, just to say, "thank you for serving." One nephew is in the USAF in FL, another in the Army in Afghanistan and a cousin in Iraq.
Connie is right...a POX on Everyone who would not appreciate the sacrifices our military men and women make every day. Thank you Jeff for keeping me and my family safe!!!.
My Nephew is on his 3rd tour with the Marines and leaves a Wife and three children so he can serve his country just like Jeff.
